Including Children with Down’s Syndrome
Chepstow Racecourse, Chepstow, Monmouthshire NP16 6BE
We are delighted to invite you to our 10th annual education conference on Thursday 29rd November entitled:
Including Children with Down’s Syndrome
This event has once again been organised by 21 Plus. The conference is suitable for all staff involved in teaching and supporting pupils with Down’s Syndrome in both mainstream and special educational settings at primary and secondary stages. It is relevant to educational psychologists and other professionals involved in planning and managing input to schools as well as to parents of children with Down’s Syndrome.
First time participants will be introduced to the learning profile of pupils and the principles of differentiation which can support and include children. For delegates who have attended previously this conference will build on your existing knowledge and include methods and approaches for literacy and maths skills in primary and secondary education settings through differentiated learning. We also look at the benefits that inclusion and differentiation have on behaviour in both primary and secondary school settings.
During the day there will be opportunities to ask questions and to share experiences with colleagues, parents and experts in education.
Please feel free to pass this invitation on to anybody who may be interested in attending this conference.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided during the day.
