21 Plus has an active membership of over 100 families across Wales but has provided support to many more families over the past decade.
In February 2017, 21 Plus were shortlisted as one of three finalists in the “Citizenship” category of the Welsh Government St David Awards. The St David Awards recognise and celebrate the exceptional achievements of people from all walks of life in Wales. The category was “intended for people who have served the public good through unselfish actions. Those who have worked towards the improvement of their local or national community through economic participation, public action, volunteer work, and other such efforts to improve life for their fellow citizens.”
In 2017 21 Plus won the GAVO Volunteer Achievement Award.
In 2017 Victoria Hughes, one of our founding members, was also presented with the “Points of Light” Award by the Prime Minister in recognition of the outstanding work that she has made to families and Communities through the work of 21 Plus.
21 Plus featured in an ITV documentary of “Wales this Week” that was aired in June 2018.
